I just love these hats. This was my second Tilley purchase after buying a LTM6 "nylamtium" hat from a retail outfitter. First impression is that I like this model better. It seems to breathe better in really hot weather (we've already had some days in the 90s here in April). The two-year insurance policy (don't forget to send in your registration) and the life-long promise to replace it if it ever wears out, coupled with its comfort, timeless stylishness, and all-around "coolness" are reasons why you will probably buy more than one after purchasing your first. One important point: Measure your head with a tape measure and then go to the Tilley website to see what size to order. I actually went one size larger (1/8th) than I normally wear...that made for a perfect fit. I made the mistake on the first hat of buying a 7 3/8, but all my Tilley's now are size 7 1/2 models. My youngest son inherited the smaller size...he says the girls love it.
One nit-pick about the T4MO organic cotton model -- the fabric is so light that it doesn't stand as "taut" on your head as a T4 or LTM6, but it is by far the lightest and coolest to wear of the three Tilley styles.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend after we moved to Arizona. The sun is brutal here, and he's not much of a sunblock wearer. Not only is this hat made with organic cotton and sized to fit you perfectly, but it's got a lifetime warranty and it's not made in China!!! It's super stylish, even for my 20-something boyfriend. There is a neat little pocket inside too, in addition to ventilation and a great chin strap system. Oh yeah, and it's totally crushable and machine washable! He's thrilled with it, and I am jealous enough to order one for myself now. He's had his for a few months and it still looks brand new despite being slept on by cats, crumpled in the back of the car, and tossed in his backpack between wearings.

I ordered this hat for my husband to wear on the beach in place of the baseball caps he had been wearing. He realized how much more effective this is in keeping the sun of his face, neck, and ears. He finds it very light weight and comfortable to wear. It is a very well-designed, high quality hat, and comes in many sizes to fit your head precisely. I also have this hat, and after trying many different types of hats for protecting my head and face on the beach, this one is by far my favorite. It is not the cutest, most glamorous hat for a woman, but it is certainly cute enough and not dorky. Well worth the price.
